His most critically acclaimed role was that of the musician Ray Charles in the movie Ray. Woody Harrelson is an American actor who was born in Midland texas on July 23rd, 1961. Harrelson shot to fame when he landed the role of Woody Boyd in the hugely popular television sitcom Cheers.
