Friends of the Corbin Public Library and Corbin Public Library, together with Kentucky Humanities, will host a Kentucky Reads book discussion of "The Book Woman's Daughter" by Kim Michele Richardson at Corbin Public Library April 13th from 7pm to 8pm. Marianne Worthington will lead this discussion of the novel, the follow up to Richardson's "The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek". Attendence is free and all are invited to attend. The library has multiple copies for you to check out and read before the discussion. The Friends of the Corbin Public Library will also provide light refreshments. Kentucky Humanities has selected Kim Michele Richardson's "The Book Woman's Daughter" for its 2023 Kentucky Reads. The novel will be at the center of statewide conversations on the coming of age, the importance of family, literacy, access to education, and the dangers of stereotyping.
